Christmas Tree Care

If you enjoy doing all the work that comes with picking out and decorating a Christmas tree, and love that moment of finding the perfect one, then listen up! Getting a live tree is really a lot of fun, but if you’re going to attempt the extreme, you have to be prepared.
First off, live trees don’t just stand up perfectly by themselves—they need support, so check out one of our Christmas Tree Stands.
Secondly, live trees can wilt, and if you’re the type to put it up as soon as Thanksgiving dinner is over, and then take it down sometime half way through January, then you’re going to need some Plant Protector from Wilt Pruf. It helps to keep moisture from escaping, which can cause needles to drop and brown.
Lastly, your tree can freeze, depending on if you keep it on a screened-in-porch, or somewhere where there really isn’t a lot of heat. To keep it safe, try Plant Insulator Season Extender by Dalen. It insulates trees from frost damage.
So, if you’re one of the few courageous ones out there, use these tips to ensure your tree having a long, healthy Christmas!
