Cake Stand or Chips and Dip Plate
Now that it’s almost time for New Years, you’re probably beginning to plan a menu full of various snacks. I mean, come on, one of the very definitions of New Years Day is snacking, at least at my house. You’ve got all of your leftover Christmas cookies and goodies and you know that you can’t possibly eat an entire meal on New Years because that would mean missing The Big Game. To help make your snacking look a little more organized than a counterfull of boxes, try a Chips and Dip Plate from Ironwood Gourmet. This chips and dip plate has a built-in bowl in the middle to hold the dip, or you can turn it over and it becomes a cake stand. It is the perfect multi-tasker to make your day of watching football and snacking easier than ever.

Snow & Ice Removal
Whether you live in a place that gets lots of snow every winter or you’re like me and live in an area where it snows four inches and you’re out of school for a week, then you probably deal with trying to shovel icy driveways and sidewalks. Here are a few products to help make that snow removal a little easier:
For smaller areas that you need to clear up, try Salt Stick for a fast and convenient snow or ice melter. Simply open up the dispensing end and pour onto the desired area. This product works in lower temperatures than other ice removal products and immediately goes to work on contact. It will not rust metal or harm wood stairs and decks. If you have a larger area, then try Ice Melt. It will not harm grass or landscaping and just one cup can melt approximately 27 square feet.
If you get snow regularly and have a tricky sidewalk or front staircase, then maybe you’ll want something a little more permanent. Try Clear Walk or Clear Step for heavy foot-traffic areas. Clear Walk and Clear Step snow mats melt up to 2″ of falling snow per hour and eliminate the chemicals used in more traditional forms of snow removal. There is no more need for shoveling or snow blowing and they are extremely durable, so they can be left out all winter season. They are also portable and can be moved around to wherever you need the most help.
No matter how much snow you get, make sure you stay safe and are always prepared!

Hose Pots
If you have a big yard or garden, then you probably water them with a hose. Hoses are great to use for sprinklers, bathing your dog, or giving your outdoor dining table a quick wash, but they are hard to manage and often end up in a big heap by the faucet. Just leaving them out doesn’t work either because they will kill the grass. Hose pots are great for storing your hose, especially when you are trying to make your outdoor area look neat and tidy. They are made from copper or resin, so they’re lightweight and durable. Every hose pot has a hole in the side that allows for the hose to remain attached to the faucet, even when put away. Many hose pots also include lids that keep dirt and water from getting in the pot, while also completely hiding the hose from view. If you are tired of having piles of unruly hoses in your yard, try a hose pot!

Christmas Tree Care
If you enjoy doing all the work that comes with picking out and decorating a Christmas tree, and love that moment of finding the perfect one, then listen up! Getting a live tree is really a lot of fun, but if you’re going to attempt the extreme, you have to be prepared.
First off, live trees don’t just stand up perfectly by themselves—they need support, so check out one of our Christmas Tree Stands.
Secondly, live trees can wilt, and if you’re the type to put it up as soon as Thanksgiving dinner is over, and then take it down sometime half way through January, then you’re going to need some Plant Protector from Wilt Pruf. It helps to keep moisture from escaping, which can cause needles to drop and brown.
Lastly, your tree can freeze, depending on if you keep it on a screened-in-porch, or somewhere where there really isn’t a lot of heat. To keep it safe, try Plant Insulator Season Extender by Dalen. It insulates trees from frost damage.
So, if you’re one of the few courageous ones out there, use these tips to ensure your tree having a long, healthy Christmas!

Artificial Christmas Trees
Who doesn’t love the fresh, piney scent of Christmas Trees? Well lots of people. Or maybe they are allergic to them. Or maybe they have an irrational fear of some wild animal hibernating in their tree and out of nowhere deciding to purposefully ruin their Christmas dinner (if you haven’t seen the movie Christmas Vacation, you should). It is also possible that they just don’t want to deal with making the trip all the way out to the Christmas Tree farm, spending hours picking that perfect tree that everyone in the family loves, laying down on the muddy ground to saw it off, lugging it back up the hill, tying it down, attempting to bring it inside without getting pine needles everywhere, setting it up, watering it constantly, eternally vacuuming up needles, finding a logical way of getting it out of the house and disposing of it, and once more vacuuming the entire house. Whatever your reason, it’s okay. There is such a thing as Artificial Christmas Trees by the National Tree Company. They come in 7 1/2 feet and 9 feet tall and there are several different “species”, all with included lights. These trees are very lifelike, but without all the fuss, and all you have to do is put on your ornaments! So, whether you don’t want to deal with all the drama, or you simply just don’t like real trees, these Artificial Christmas Trees are the perfect addition for your holiday decorating!

Rock Gardens
House plants are cool and all, but they can be hard to manage, and sometimes get a little boring. Have you ever wanted to spice things up a bit? I did, which is why I bought a bonsai tree. Well let me tell you, they are weird. And if you don’t know how to take care of them, then they very possibly might die. Well, with a Rock Garden from Dunecraft, you can easily plant and grow a bonsai tree, or other types of plants all with the help of a kit and directions. These rock gardens come with a planter, dome, seeds, moss, planting mixure, and instructions, so there is no way you can possibly mess up. There are five different plants you can try: Soothing Aloe, Rain Forest, Bonsai Tree, Desert, and Enchanted Ivy. If you want to be spontaneous and try something new, go for a Rock Garden. They are different and can be fun, and if you manage to kill this one too, at least you can say you had a bonsai tree, if only for a little while.
